I’m looking for a free online reverse search portal. Where should I go?
You should consult several free online portals that allow you to look up phone numbers before paying for the results. One of the first places that comes to mind is the local 411 or yellow pages.
Do the free directories have precise and up to date listings?
If you are looking for a simple land line telephone number then you should be able to find it inside a free reverse phone search directory, but if you’re looking for cell phone numbers and unlisted numbers you probably will not find it there. The service is free so in terms of quality there is not much that we can ask for and should be grateful for what we can salvage.
Why is it so easy to find uzor polosa land lines?
It’s very easy to get your hands on information related to a land line, because it’s as simple as opening up a telephone book. It’s also very easy to buy telephone “leads” by the thousands online.
Why is it so hard to discover information on cell phone numbers for free?
The main reason for that is the level of effort that it takes to assemble the telephone numbers since they are not found in the main phone registrar (namely the cellular and the unlisted numbers). There are several reasons which force the phone registrar to keep the numbers out of the public view, we will describe them below.
Charges
If someone calls you on a landline and starts pitching you a product you might be mad because the person on the other line is taking up your time, but if that someone calls you on a cell phone and does the same you might end up paying for the phone call on a per minute basis. Naturally you’d want to find the source from which the person got your phone number and if it turns out to be your phone carrier then you might try and make them pay for the talk time that occurred because of their negligence, which they definitely don’t want you to do.
SMS spam
It’s become a real problem in some Asian countries. Since the SMS spam regulations are much stricter in North-America we don’t see much of it here. Nonetheless, the phone carriers don’t take chances and try to keep your cell numbers out of the public view.
Where to go to find a record on a cell phone number?
There is not a lot of them, but you should be able to find some. You need to carefully sift through the available reverse phone look up directories, since some of them claim to have the information you need and then fail to deliver the final results.
